How Resilis was born from a shared vision to transform crisis management
Resilis was born from a simple observation: crisis management, business continuity, and IT disaster recovery are too often perceived as complex, costly, and reserved for large organizations.
After years of supporting businesses of all sizes in implementing their resilience frameworks, our founders identified a critical need: an intuitive, accessible, and effective solution that would enable any organization to prepare for crises and face them when they occur.
This is how Resilis was born, with the ambition to democratize organizational resilience through the power of artificial intelligence and a user-centered approach.

Experts passionate about organizational resilience
Julien Puaux
Co-founder & CEO
Julien Puaux is co-founder and CEO of Resilis. He spent 11 years at KPMG's Special Situations Group, where he led more than 60 assignments for organizations facing crisis, noncompliance, or operational breakdown — business continuity planning, crisis management programs, and operational turnarounds for multi-billion-dollar groups. These included a pharmaceutical company recovering from major misconduct in two South American subsidiaries, and an industrial group regaining control of its Russian operations.
Before KPMG, he served as HR and Finance Coordinator for Médecins Sans Frontières' (Doctors Without Borders) Emergency Desk, managing real crisis operations under extreme constraints — a nationwide vaccination campaign and a cholera epidemic response with hundreds of staff and a fraction of the resources any corporate crisis team would consider adequate.
That combination — building continuity and crisis programs for large organizations while living the reality of a crisis with no safety net — convinced him that most continuity programs fail for the same reason: they're built to satisfy an auditor, not to survive contact with an actual event. Resilis exists to close that gap.
Julien holds a Master in Management and Finance from emlyon business school and a Master in Business Law from Université Paris Nanterre.
Hugues Lajoie
Co-founder & CBO
Hugues spent the first decade of his career inside a financial institution where operational resilience is taken most seriously : Société Générale. He has been working in operational risk across APAC during a period of intense regulatory reshaping in financial services.
He left to build a digital health company. As CEO of Deeplink Medical for ten years, he navigated a regulated environment where customers depended on the product in clinical settings, and where business continuity was not a binder exercise but a daily operational discipline.
At Resilis, Hugues leads business development, partnerships, and US go-to-market. He is currently based in the United States.
Conviction: Resilience is first and foremost about making the complex simple to manage. Complexity is what kills adoption and a plan no one uses is worse than no plan at all.
Hugues holds a Master in Management from emlyon business school.
